Superb place and would definitely book again. The breakfast was very good & parking was nearby.

It was a 3-star hotel in every way. A perfect place for exploring Amsterdam. Bed was really comfy. This property charges EUR 10 per person per day for breakfast.
Rooms were small.

Adjacent to some tourist attractions, like moco museum. We enjoyed everything about the hotel: breakfast and staff. The room had a nice balcony...

Beautiful location
The room was on the minus first floor.

Everything
No such thing.

Staff was friendly. Good breakfast. Excellent location.
Lived on the -1 floor. No noise, no air conditioning.
-
Vert friendly staff, room small but cosy. Excellent breakfast!!!

Hotel staff make all the difference to a stay. These folk were so helpful, welcoming and interested. Would go back any time.
Our room was right up in the attic : too many stairs and too little standing room in shower.

The staff at Hotel Alexander were extremely friendly and helpful, always happy to assist with directions, maps, contact details and city information. The breakfast was great value for money compared to most!
For Business travel, it is clean and comfortable.

Very good location, many restaurants near Liestag (spelling?) Plaza. Access to trams and within walking distance to many sites. Friendly staff and great free wifi.
Rooms can be a little small and are a bit aged. Ground floor room was a little noisy

Very pleasant and flexible attitude, rooms were clean and neat. Proximity to Leidseplein was ideal for us. From there you can easily take trams to other parts of the city, including the train station. Hotel provided a free map and advice on the sights worth seeing. Great experience! Tip: visit Boom Chicago at Leidseplein, excellent improv comedy in English

The staff was very nice.
My room was tiny, literally no bigger than the single-sized bed. It was filthy and there was no heat. Every surface had dust and dirt on it. The bathroom was decent, except for the cramped boat-style shower. It was also more expensive than better, bigger, cleaner, more comfortable hotel rooms. I switched after two nights to a hotel around the block that was $30 less a night, 4x bigger, and much cleaner/newer/more comfortable.

Comfortable centrally located hotel in a quiet street near Vondelpark and Leidseplein. The two brothers, Jay and Tony are excellent, patient and hospitable hosts: always offering suggestions or solutions to any question or issue a guest may have. I enjoyed my stay in the small single topfloor room with gardenview. In combination with the perfect summer days, the free flying green parrots in the garden trees created a semi-tropical ambiance. Hotel Alexander most definitely added (an almost homely) value to my stay in Amsterdam.
